Why We Made This
Texts From Pets (TFP) was created by a single mother after her 4-year-old daughter lost her beloved “doggy-brother.” To ease her sadness and keep a sense of childhood joy alive, the family pup—Rocco—began to “keep in touch” through playful text messages.
What started as a way to comfort one little girl quickly revealed its magic: the power of a simple message to turn loss into love, and ordinary days into something special. Inspired by that joy, she set out to share the experience with other families.
Through Texts From Pets, she hopes to help parents create everyday moments of laughter, comfort, and wonder. Whether it’s a quick smile after school or a surprise note before bed, a text “from your pet” is the kind of magic kids remember forever.
Today, her daughter is 10 and still treasures the day her favorite messages—aside from Santa’s—started arriving from her furry best friend.
It’s simple, sweet, and built for connection.

Who is this for?
TFP is for parents with young kids who love animals and a little bit of magic.
Does my child need a device?
Yes. In order to receive messages from their pet, your child must have access to a phone or tablet with WhatsApp installed and working.
Can I customize the messages?
Absolutely. You can write your own messages, tweak any that TFP generates, and preview everything before it goes to your child. You can even add photos to your custom messages.
Is there an app to download?
Not yet. TFP is currently a mobile-friendly web service. A downloadable app is coming soon!
When does it launch?
Beta testing begins at the end of Summer 2025, with the full public launch expected in Fall 2025.
