Texts From Pets, LLC (“we,” “us,” “our”) respects your family’s privacy. This Privacy Policy applies to the Texts From Pets website, mobile application, and related services (collectively, the “Service”). It explains what we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

1. Built for parents — not children
   Texts From Pets is for parents and legal guardians, not for direct use by children. Only adults aged 18 or older may create accounts, subscribe, manage profiles, and provide consent. Children do not directly interact with the AI; AI-generated messages are delivered to the parent or guardian-controlled account or device.
2. Information parents provide
   Parents voluntarily provide limited child-related information so we can craft messages that feel personal. We collect only:

• The child’s first name or nickname
• A general age range
• The pet’s name
• Optional pet photo or pet profile information if provided by the parent

3. Information we intentionally do not collect about children
   We are committed to data minimization. We do not collect children’s last names, exact birthdays, addresses, school information, geolocation, or child contact information.
4. Account information from parents
   To operate the Service, we collect parent account information such as email address, mobile phone number (for SMS delivery), and password (stored hashed). During Free Early Access, we do not collect payment information. If paid features or subscriptions are offered in the future, payment information will be processed by our payment provider rather than stored directly by Texts From Pets.
5. SMS program and mobile information
   Participation in the Texts From Pets SMS program is optional and based on affirmative consent. SMS consent is recorded only when you actively select the dedicated SMS-consent checkbox. Consent is not inferred from providing a mobile phone number, accepting these Terms or this Privacy Policy, creating an account, or opting into marketing communications.

If you opt in, we may send recurring text messages including personalized pet messages and related service or account messages. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out or HELP for help.

We use your mobile phone number solely to deliver the Texts From Pets SMS program, including personalized pet messages and service/account messages, and to process opt-out requests. We do not sell or share your mobile phone number or SMS consent information with third parties for their own marketing purposes.

6. Third-party service providers
   Texts From Pets may use trusted third-party service providers to operate the Service, including Twilio for message delivery, Supabase for cloud infrastructure/database services, and OpenAI for AI-generated content support. If paid features or subscriptions are offered, Stripe or another payment provider may process payments. These providers may process limited information only as needed to provide their services to Texts From Pets.
7. Security
   We use commercially reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information, including secure cloud infrastructure, encrypted transmission where appropriate, restricted administrative access, and secure third-party payment processing where applicable. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Data security incidents
   If we become aware of a data security incident affecting personal information, we will take commercially reasonable steps to investigate, mitigate, and provide notifications where required by applicable law.
9. Service availability
   We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or available at all times. Temporary interruptions may occur due to maintenance, technical issues, third-party provider outages, or circumstances beyond our control.
10. Parent rights — review, correction, deletion
    Parents may request review, correction, or deletion of child-related information at any time by contacting hello@textsfrompets.com.
11. Limitation of liability
    To the fullest extent permitted by law, Texts From Pets, LLC is not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, exemplary, or punitive damages, including loss of data, unauthorized access, service interruptions, emotional distress claims, third-party provider failures, or issues arising from AI-generated entertainment content.
